Currently December

Welcome December!!!

I know that December is the craziest month of the year, and as a teacher if we can get through it we can do anything!  To jumpstart this month of controlled chaos I am linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for this months Currently.

Listening: I am listening to the TV, although I have no idea what is on.  It is around the corner and I can't see it, or recognize the program based on sound.

Loving: I love the elf in my classroom.  He came yesterday and my friends named him Frosty. Our principal delivered him and we were ecstatic! We almost didn't get an elf this year, our elf Jangle from last year was promoted, so we wrote to Santa last week why we needed an elf.  He said there was a shortage, and we are so lucky to have him.  We just need to remember he has little ears so we need little voice so we don't hurt him :)

Thinking: I need to be productive, enough said!

Wanting: I want everyone to have a good December.  I know it can be hectic, but stop every once in a while to enjoy the spirit of Christmas! Or whatever winter holiday you celebrate :)

Needing: I don't need anything, I just want to count my blessing for a change of pace.

Giving: I am trying to have my students realize that giving is important, so we are going to do a lot of that.  I wanted to give something to a random follower of mine, so I made a giveaway for one of you to win!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Thanks for reading, take some time to go back and read what some others are Currently doing :)
Have a Merry Christmas!

  1. I've heard about the elf on the shelf concept, but I've never actually seen it done! Such a cute idea to do it in your classroom. Happy Holidays!

  2. I love that he has little ears so your class need little voices! I try with my quiet critters but my class have such loud voices! Good luck being productive - I have definitely not been today and am falling so far behind now!
    Merry Christmas!

  3. I love the elf sheet in this post! For Christmas I plan on knitting scarves for all of my master teachers and spending the holiday with my sister because her husband is deployed.
