It's Friday, and summer vacation, what could be better? It is hard to keep track of the days during the summer, but when I saw someone else post a Five For Friday I knew I wanted to as well. So I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching, for this weeks Five For Friday.
Last Friday, after I posted my Five For Friday, I went and got a hair cut. 10 plus inches were cut off and donated. Every once in a while I do this. Many people asked about it when I posted this picture on Instagram. So I figured I would share with you here.
This is the result of that hair cut, the top picture is of the long hair. You can't tell how long because of the way it curls, but it was quite long. I always wear a pony tail so I don't have a better "long" picture. The bottom picture is of it cut short. Now when she cut it, my only rule was it had to still go in a pony tail. I am a pony tail type of person, I do not like to style my hair, and I do not like it touching my neck. I know the answer would be to get a shorter haircut, but that involves styling it. The picture on the right is me, not to happy, but it shows what I have to do to have a pony tail. It was cut too short so part of it falls out of the pony tail, hence the headband. But overall I am happy because someone will get my hair and that is a good thing.
Last Saturday, Emily from Munchkins Inc. and I went to see our kids play in the championship game. My student was the catcher! Yes I am wearing a pirate hat, their team is the Pirates, and it kept my hair up. They won the game and they were so excited that their teachers came to see them play!
When this package came in the mail I was so excited, just looking at it I could tell who it was from.
I won the contest from Mr. Greg at Smedley's Smorgasboard! I was so excited to receive the personalized Boogie Board. I can't wait to try it out with my students next year. I think I will have to order more of them! Thank you Mr. Greg!
I ordered myself an early birthday present! I have been watching on Bloglovin, and Instagram all of you getting your Life Planners. I just fell in love and had to splurge.
I will be running a give away for my birthday from July 1- July 8, make sure you stop by and enter. If you want to participate by donating just comment below or send me an email. I will be putting everything together Monday morning.
Credit Card Fraud sucks... last night after kickboxing I stopped by Taco Bell, and this morning someone is using my credit card in Brooklyn. I called right away and had my card cancelled, but they used it at a gas station, Starbucks, and a grocery store. Evidently they cloned my card because I was still holding my card. I am telling you all this because it is important to be aware of your cards. I have all my card apps on my phone and I have them set up to alert me of transactions. I get notified every time there is an online charge, a gas stations charge, and if so much money is spent. All I get is an Apple push notification, some people find them annoying, but it just saved me a lot of aggravation. I was laying in bed reading some blogs and I see a gas station one show up and I immediately called. I will no longer think they are annoying but think of this incident every time I see one!
On a final not, many of you expressed concern when I fell off my bicycle earlier this week. I wanted to let you know that everything is all better now, and my bike is out of the shop. Thank you for showing me your support and concerns.
Well my week was mild compared to yours! I once had a waitress use my credit card number to order several hundred dollars of beanie babies! We traced it back to her because it was a brand new card and only used at the restaurant! By the way I love that you wore the pirate hat to the ballgame!
